There are 124 authoring tools in my latest directory, of which 30 are SaaS or a combination of desktop and SaaS – which really what is the point of that? Even though more tools are adding the features of collaborative and peer review (more on that in a sec) they are still heavy geared towards a desktop solution. Mobile Learning.

Right now I am doing a survey on authoring tools (more on this at the end of the post) and so far 100% of all respondents state that HTML5 output is required in an authoring tool. I do believe that HTML5 output will continue to grow as an authoring tool feature. I am still stunned that this is slogging away. Not anymore.

Very very impressive, with mega features including desktop sharing, audio/video, whiteboards, along with remote administration tools, a moderating system, and a tool for importing documents in 32 different formats, integrates well with Moodle, but you do not need to have Moodle. Samsung Galaxy S is expected to be the first real challenger to the iPad, it runs on Android OS, offers Flash 10.1 Again, the iPad runs only with HTML5, not Flash 10.1.
