I don’t talk much about training or learning any more. You can train people but they may or may not learn. Learning is better than training, but learning is not enough to make sure the job gets done. Moreover, people often fail to put what they learn into practice. Training often fizzles.

I called my tech guys, who did a stirling job trying to find out what the problem was. Proxy error or firewall problem. VLEs are generally difficult to use, with far too much effort needed to be put into understanding how the system works, to the detriment of the time and effort spent actually learning.
