At one time BlueVolt was just a spark, a system among many other systems in the market. Ability to offer ads for products or ads to specific sections for folks to visit – for each child (sub-portal) - yes – every child can be skinned to look a different way then the parent. SCORM, AICC. Those days are gone forever.

In the Consumer Market World. With Video Learning Platforms – video can be what the consumer market identifies as video (usually the case) and yes, equally screen recordings. For the masses of the e-learning audience, people do not shoot video at a production facility or have one in house; but some do.

What I like about this product includes the ability to output to HTML5, works on mobile devices, is extremely easy to use, appears within PowerPoint and SCORM. What has stopped the product in the past from being in the top 20 was a lack of clarity in terms of what they were trying to accomplish – at least that was my take.

Well, it is a fun product to create a course. This product achieves makes it happen, especially with a slick UI. Nothing like getting your blood boil when you see this ranking and can’t understand why the product is not number one. HTML5 output including a PPT converter to HTML5. Why you may ask? Searchable content.

If I am an authoring tool vendor, I would explore what is happening in the authoring tool market, what my product looks like, how I can make it better for my target audience and what do I see or others I trust see the e-learning space is heading. . At least SCORM support – Plenty still support AICC. But I digress.

In 2010, the RCAT market continued its upswing and nothing indicates to me it will be changing anytime soon. Innovation abounded and the push to focus on the “PPT to Flash&# angle continued to shine. RCAT Product of the Year. Open Source Product of the Year (i.e. Also SCORM 1.2 & AICC. Game Changer!
