With great anticipation I entered the huge expo at ASTD International show earlier this week. Lots of giveaways for iPads, Kindle Fire – etc. Demos – 50% of the time, but 50% of the time – vendor sends you to their web site – specifically you can visit us at blah blah. Lots of vendors, lots of potential.

Here’s one I got while messing around with my iPad. In case you’re not familiar with the iPad, it works like most smart phones. As I was playing with the iPad, two ideas came to me. Following is a quick mockup of an iPad-inspired PowerPoint template. Click here to view the demo. For the demo, I used Style 1307.

As before, please excuse text line space funkiness – WordPress app on iPad. Of course you had to sit down and go through the presentation/demo of Presenter – but still – nice one. I loved the lip synch of that tune. Okay, time for the 2nd half to begin, so let’s go right to the kickoff. Maybe, it was just me.

I looked around the conference and to tell you the truth, the only non iPad I saw was at the vendor booths. Whether you like it or not, the iPad is driving a lot of the conversation around mobile, especially HTML5. Images and video can be saved to the iPad easily using iTunes. What about the real tablet?”. Save as Image.

As I was on the plane to Philadelphia jotting down some notes for upcoming blog posts, it struck me that the notes app in the iPad would make a great user interface for an elearning course.
