I admit that in general I have been underwhelmed in the past with Saba. So, when I went and checked out Saba Social, Saba’s new social learning platform, I had very low expectations. My Learning – identified the popular courses – solid. I was surprised. They finally figured it out.

Despite overall consumer demand (not just within e-learning) for tablets, and numbers showing that tablets are outselling notebooks, e-learning vendors as whole are sitting back and waiting. Latitude Learning – only if you have the open source solution and you must add TinCan API on your own.

Part LMS, part social and yes a very nice part of mobile including apps for iPad. 20 Saba Learning Suite. With its m-learning capability including on/off synch and rather solid UI, the product continues to be an effective solution. Social btw, fantastic. #17 A free learning management system hits the ranks.

Q : I am curious on why Cornerstone On Demand, Saba and SumTotal do not appear in your top twenty lists even though they appear on other sites as the best products in the market.

I include Learning Portals, LCMSs, as part of the mix. Big Dog (Saba, SumTotal, Plateau, Cornerstone OnDemand, Learn.com). Extended Enterprise – System must have e-comm, multi-tenet – fully skinnable, additional functionality. Saba does a good job as well. Social Learning is limited. Categories.

I often hear people say they want mobile learning in their solution, social learning, e-commerce, but when you ask for specifics they sometimes have a blank stare on their face. It is the same assumption that unless you buy one of the Big Dogs – Saba, SumTotal, Plateau, etc., E-Learning 24/7.
