Where you have learning that is delivered over several modules, you have the potential to gather lots of data about how a learner is performing. Learners who had performed well during the previous modules received a shorter final assessment and learners who had been struggling got a longer final assessment.

Anyone in a big company is used to having several mandatory modules a year to complete so the game becomes “how can I do this as quickly as I can and get my tick in the box?” If comfortable for this incident to be referred to on a training course or in a face to face presentation, why not in e-learning?

The longer the course/ module the more that learners will get bored and frustrated by devices like this. Training courses and e-learning modules are longer events so you need to be careful about how you extrapolate what the generation effect says.
