I will say this; the morning of Sept 11 2001 I was at the USMC base in Quantico Virginia and I was unable to see any of the images of the attacks until I got home about 5.5 hours later. I am watching the re-broadcast of the NBC coverage of that morning and it really is bizarre for me to see this whole thing again as a set piece.
