This hasnt gotten onto my radar before -- Im not sure if there are any state-funded online programs in Massachusetts. As I recall, she has two kids in high school who are taking online courses, and thats what got her interested in ID and e-learning. And its increasingly being funded as part of the U.S. public school system.

Im in the weird place of for-profit education, which really has characteristics of both market sectors. A few trends: Not ONE person has even heard of Second Life. This was a little wake up call to me as I sit in my little e-Learning world, trying to immerse myself in all that is new.
