Monday, March 23, 2009 Market Differences in eLearning Im a fan of the number 42. One of the reasons is also that Graphic Designers often may not have much work, as sometime people just want ILT, or a few recorded sessions, other other delivery formats like remote training, that do no require heavy graphic or programming work.

Im concerned that women will be excluded if such a focus is put on gaming skills -- or at least the gamer label. Im just raising some questions. I guess Im saying the focus should be less on "gaming" and more on use of new technology (social networking sites, gadgets, etc.) I dont have a conclusion here.

The folks at Kineo wrote a piece on the future of rapid e-learning tools, summarizing "our view is to give potential authors [SMEs] some easy to use but well structured templates which will give instructional integrity to how they develop their learning." Brent Schlenker of the eLearning Guild, commented on my post Memoirs of an Instructional Designer : Im one of the unfortunate ones with a actual honest to goodness Masters Degree in EdTech.
