Lots of ILT vendors – again, the show has always been geared towards this, so no surprise, in fact, ATD formally known as ASTD has always been heavy on ILT and book things, and just in the last few years has seen a major increase in e-learning vendors, with the past show being nearly 50% – the highest ever.

As in the case with any session laced event, some people found that speaker X went off task or speaker C was horrific. On the expo side, and I know ASTD Events are going to disagree with me (err, they already have via Linkedin), I wasn’t overly impressed on the number of vendors’ booths. E-Learning 24/7 .

On the vendor side, nice set to select from although on the freebie side – always is lame. Vendor Angle. A must for any e-learning vendor. That said, vendors have found the show overall to be a mixed bag. Vendors have told me that overall they find this to be a very worthwhile event.

Features that already exist – event management, e-commerce and alike – again, the features that are already in place are there because it is a LMS. If you want to go more robust with your event management take a look at Cvent. E-Learning 24/7. The difference is that they are not a LMS ecosystem.

This year, I estimated a 55/60% e-learning, including some ILT vendors offering some type of e-learning component. . In all the years I have attended and have known about ATD (formally ASTD), this year is by far the most in terms of e-learning vendors, especially those in the LMS space.

I saw a lot more folks than in previous shows and more e-learning vendors too. Equally there were several ILT vendors who had some type of online learning thing going on. Vendors overall more engaged with their visitors, but as with anything not universal – the ones I shame will be coming shortly!
