Im thinking of Chestertons remark that theres a big difference between a man who wants to read a book and a man who wants a book to read. I like the analogy Michele Martin uses: instructional design as cooking. Sometimes you need a five star chef.

Within higher ed, Im sure well continue to see growth in online, but it is starting to plateau a bit. 10 years ago I cut my elearning teeth in the K12 market, working on projects for two big US providers.
