Let me explain why I don't call myself an Instructional Designer - I do a lot more than design instruction! This format really appeals to me as it really mirrors what I do with this blog and my reading, I like to bring ideas from diverse disciplines together to then exert influence on how I think about what I do, learning and education. There is a bit of Ken Robinson in what she says, lamenting the pigeon-holing that occurs in education today.

Read Write v Read Only

Read Only is how things used to be when it comes to learning, as education for the masses was formalised in the late 1800's education it was a method on transferring knowledge. I just used the word learning, however this type of education was really about teaching. Now for how this links in with learning.

Learning Web
