Application training via a synchronous tool like WebEx, Adobe Connect, or Elluminate too often ends up with passive learners. I’m guilty of this myself too; I’ve done some boring synchronous training that didn’t offer any opportunity to practice skills. Informative Events vs. Information Dumps.

Create textual content in HTML, text, or accessible PDF (PDF needs to have the meta information with the text, not just an image of the text). Hearing and speaking during synchronous meetings. Dense information. Text-based files. Matthew (Blind).

Tried to show video of Meet Charlotte, but video doesn’t work well over Elluminate. This is not a synchronous platform–experts can use a webcam and easily record and upload content.
