I've looked at various tools to use as part of this, but I'm finding that what I really want is a better Copy-to-Clipboard function (in Firefox) that would include a citation to the original source as part of the copy operation. In other words, it would combine steps 2 & 3. Any suggestions on that?

How to Download YouTube Videos

I've not tried it, but it appears to work for Google Video, MySpace video and more. KeepVid offered both (save as FLV and save as MP4) and a nice bookmarklet as well.

Firefox Bookmarks - For pages that I want to launch all the time. Google Desktop Search is also great, but I personally have had better results with Microsoft's integration with Outlook and I'm a heavy Outlook user. Google History - a fall back in case I didn't know at the time that I would want to get back to an item.
