There are more vendors who do not offer the ability to post – i.e. add audio afterwards it is quite amazing. They are seeking multiple tracks for editing, not one track. A few vendors say “social learning” but it is often far from it. I’m always amazed at some of the names vendors come up with for authoring tools. My personal favorite feature is the timeline with individual tracks for audio, images and text. 1st vendor to have online/offline mobile synch.

Bewildered on what is happening, why what is needed isn’t appearing as it should, and how is it possible that something so obvious based on where e-learning is heading, mobile is pushing and future tech is inspiring is lost among so many vendors? And therein lies one of the issues, that is showing up with many, many vendors.

You work online via the servers of your vendor. I had thought that this trend would be dying out, but it is amazing at the number of vendors who are entering the space and still focused on the desktop approach. Adobe Photoshop Express – in the cloud and very popular. SaaS: Software is in the cloud, on the internet.
