If you work with other Camtasia developers, it’s likely that you will be asked to share your project with team members so they can edit the project. Sharing projects among Camtasia developers is not the same as using the Export menu to create output for a learner.

However, bins are not available in Camtasia 9, so you have to come up with alternatives. In this blog, I’ll give you three ideas on how to organize your work so that you can keep your head on straight when using Camtasia 9. Since Camtasia 9 doesn’t have an in-editor file system, you’ll want to use your computer’s File Explorer (or Finder for Mac) for these organizations. But it doesn’t help you keep your files organized once they’re in Camtasia.

While recording a software demonstration using the Camtasia Recorder, you have two choices when it comes to the file format for your video capture: TREC and AVI. AVIs can be imported into the Camtasia Editor or other eLearning development tools and multimedia editors. After producing your Camtasia projects, the net result is a collection of independent web files, scripts, videos and other assets. If you are looking to group multiple Camtasia projects together to create a single course, you'll need to upload the lessons to Screencast.com, YouTube, or a Learning Management System. TechSmith recently announced the release of Camtasia 2018 and there’s much to cheer. TechSmith made huge strides in Camtasia 9 when it improved the free assets in the Library. Camtasia has never had a way to quickly apply the look and feel of one object across a large project. One of the major complaints about Camtasia is how long it takes to Render (Share) a project when you’re finished with your production work.

Last week we had a great webinar focused on our new Camtasia video templates. We had our senior designer, Nic Brown, show us how to edit and re-brand one of our Intro templates in Adobe Illustrator, and then input it back into Camtasia. This is especially useful when you want to get a specific look out of our templates, but are unable to achieve that look by making adjustments inside of Camtasia alone.

During a recent Camtasia class, a student asked about providing the captions in other languages than English (she was asked to create versions of her project in a dozen languages). Fortunately, it's fairly easy to convert Camtasia captions to different languages.

During this post I'm going to show you how you can add the captions manually (by typing or copying/pasting from an existing script), and how to have Camtasia transcribe the voiceover audio using the Speech-to-text feature.

TechSmith recently released Camtasia 2018. At first glance, there’s little difference between Camtasia 9 for the PC and version 2018. While I do like the tools separated (this is how they were listed in older versions of Camtasia), this minor change isn't anything to get overly excited about. TechSmith has enhanced the free assets in Camtasia 2018, and they're pretty nice. You can download and use the assets in any Camtasia project.

Deleting a portion of an object on the Camtasia Timeline (a few seconds from the end of a video for example) is simple: drag the red in- and/or green out-point on either side of the Playhead, right-click, and then choose Delete. As an alternative to simply Deleting (and getting a gap), this is the perfect opportunity to take advantage of an often overlooked Camtasia feature: Ripple Delete (the option is just below Delete in the menu).

Luckily TechSmith’s Camtasia is here to help you quickly and easily make eLearning videos that look great! What you may not already know is that eLearning Brothers has loads of templates that are ready to be placed into your Camtasia project TODAY! In this example, I placed the lower third over the top of a Camtasia library asset called “floatingboxes” that can be found inside the default Camtasia library.
