SCORM, AICC, xAPI – Which one do I need?

SCORM’s premise, not what it can or cannot do, was its huge premise of interoperability—far more so than AICC. The idea was that you have content in SCORM and add it to your learning system that accepts SCORM, and tada, it works without any problems or issues. In the late 80s, AICC, the predecessor to SCORM, was born.

The same can be said for Enterprise Learning Systems. Anyone can mention they are Enterprise, and that their learning system is for “Enterprises”, but finding the best of the best of those, isn’t so simple to quantify, let alone clarify. Employees will use whatever learning system you give them.

Learning System Forecasts 2019

Based on some exploration, it is clear to me they have a couple of routes to go in terms of the system. I base it on a couple of observations notably that the person who runs learning products for Amazon comes from a learning system that is a content curator. I’m not seeing that. I’m not seeing that.
