The problem has been (in the past) that the rapid content authoring tools have avoided adding it as a component. If you are an Authorware fanatic missing the old days, you are still going to miss it – because while these capabilities are being added to tools they are still not at the level of Authorware. The problem though is it is extremely basic. The magic 8 ball is a fun item to use.

Not a problem, we can go PDF. For the authorware supporters this was akin to blasting the planet with gamma rays. Trends are funny. People readily assume that a trend must be interpreted as a positive or that the person presenting what will become a trend as the gatekeeper to that trend, and thus, either the person who created whatever that trend is, or must have some level of scientific data to support it.

Some of the biggest problems. For those of us who can remember, back in early 2000, products like Authorware were essential to building courses. Authorware was a great product, but its learning curve was extremely difficult and user friendliness was debatable. While there are plenty of products out there, that fail to meet the “test&# , I will identify three that just in the past year have multiple problems, including user interface issues.
