A second Issue im Having ist that suddenly, 2) my preview (full project) and published versions only show slides 1-10 and the rest of the slides (approx. The blog [link] concludes that somehow the other index files (multiscreen.html etc.) How can I get it to work and how can I change the zip file?

Over 6 years ago I published a blog post explaining the importance of Events in the application. Meanwhile new features have been added, the User interface has changes. A couple of years ago i wrote a short blog about dynamic buttons. I first thought this to be a limitation of HTML5 (first article was for SWF output) and tested it out. The demo file has two TEB’s on the second slide. The Next (shape) button on the first slide is timed for the rest of the project.

Personally I don’t find that so important because the condition ‘IF 1 is equal to 1’ worked as well, but much more has changed. That slide is using the new While loop. Enhancements Decisions.

Since the change in the UI with Captivate 8 , the newbie User Interface minimizes the Timeline panel by default which is really a pity (personal opinion). Captivate has two types of ‘raw’ files: the cptx-files (slide-based) and the cpvc-files (less-known, Video Demo files). Happy New Year 2017 to all Captivate users!

Many years ago I did write this blog about a custom Play/Pause button. Meanwhile lot has changed in Adobe Captivate: new simple actions were added, multistate objects appeared, shape buttons became possible with InBuilt states and custom states. A shape button can be used on master slides , can be timed for the rest of the project.

One exception: embedded buttons on Quiz/Score slides cannot be shape buttons, so I use transparent buttons for those. The SVG, activated as button, has all the features of shape buttons: can be used on master slides, can be timed for the rest of the project (not in Fluid Boxes), can be added to quiz and score slides as extra button.

So instead of using Flash to build a SWF, you’re using PowerPoint to build a SWF. People are always asking me about how many slides a course should have. Don’t think slides. Think of slides as layers of information that you bring to the screen. The learner doesn’t care about slide count.
