WBT (Web-Based Training). CBT Prior to online learning known then as WBT, and then the latter term of e-learning (vendors today, use it to refer to content that is online), there was CBT. You could say for everyone learner or just a group of learners, you could do this for every publisher that the vendor offered.

From a vendor perspective there was a huge impact, but what was odd, is that some vendors still are living in the past, as though, this is a minor blip, and in 2021, everything will go back as it was – corporate wise that is. It is a syllabus and Zoom or whatever web conferencing solution you are calling a flipped classroom.

This isn’t a beauty contest, nor a pay for play (I NEVER accept that, nor play that game, nor do I accept any referral fees or whatever some vendors offer for recommending them). Not everyone gets in. But I digress.

comparison of a system that focuses on SMB vs another that is SMB, rather than SMB vs. 50,000+ employees; equally, someone focusing only on B2B/B2C should be compared to other vendors only focused on B2B/B2C and not say comparing an internal only system to one that is B2B/B2C, because there will be some functionality differentials).

With all these vendors talking about their solution and its capabilities on mobile devices, it should be easy to find an app for that. Regardless if the vendor is m-learning specific, content authoring tool, LMS, web conferencing or a hybrid. Nowadays more and more vendors (thankfully) are seeing the benefit of mobile devices.

What I like about conferences is the ability to see the latest products and hear the pitches from the vendors. Yet, for all that do it, their are equal number of vendors who do not. Vendors who hand you a product (trial) and their business card or they just have their items in a bowl and you grab one. TK 11 Products.

That said, there were some hiccups and from an entire vendor wise (expo here) angle, some unique and some, uh. This year, I estimated a 55/60% e-learning, including some ILT vendors offering some type of e-learning component. . I see way too many vendors think a web site is all they need and people will find them.

Across the board, a large number of vendors (from small to large) saw increases in their quarter numbers. Especially, when vendors released their 2010 final numbers and saw big increases from the previous year.
