In this example, the images all need to be wide, but short rectangles so that I could get them about the same height as the text and squeeze them as close as possible to the button stacks in Rise 360. When I save the PowerPoint slides as images that results in an image that is 1280 x 384 pixels. 07:45 | Save slide as image.

The video I create in PowerPoint is the exact same aspect ratio as the Storyline file. But if you change the aspect ratio of your.story file make sure you do the same on the PowerPoint slide. Go to slide 1 in PowerPoint and save it as a.PNG image. In the Storyline slide, insert the slide image from PowerPoint.

Visual Design Mistake 1: Images are Scrunched & Not Scaled. An image is inserted and then to make it fit or move it, it gets moved from the top or side anchors on the bounding box. This scrunches the image and makes it look a little off. The fix is to drag it from the corner to scale it and preserve its aspect ratio.

The other day I made some images for a course menu page in Rise 360. When I reviewed my final image, I realized that there were several iterations. With this particular menu, I needed an image that had a 10:3 aspect ratio. In this case, the images are 1280 x 384. I liked the gray image and text overlay.

Here are a few considerations: By default the course size is a 4:3 aspect ratio set at 720×540 pixels. This is a good aspect ratio and the course can be set to scale with the browser, so pixel width isn’t as big of an issue. The image below shows the 4:3 aspect ratio with a sidebar menu. As you can see in this image the text is incredibly distracting if not just hard to read. That will maintain your aspect ratio and give you room to maneuver your shot. it probably needs to be changed.
