What didn’t surprise me though, once it started to catch everyone’s attention, was that vendors in the learning system and learning tech space, would grab hold of it. I figured out early on, where the low hanging fruit was for vendors who wanted to add it. Course Will it be universal in what vendors do with it?

The spin is that you can accrue points by reading an article, taking a course, leaving comments, ranking content, completing an assessment and so on – varies among vendors. For some reason a lot of vendors, erroreously assume that modules is widely used – it isn’t. Gaming Elements. Bottom Line.

OR you can create courses SCORM 2004 courses within their tool which is in the “cloud&# and do the same thing. ADL SCORM 2004 CERTIFIED. Ability to include social media – I’m not talking about YouTube here. iSpring Suite - Supports HTML5 output, audio and video narration, awesome feature set including branded player, SCORM 2004, 1.2 The authoring tool vendors will say their products are for everyone. Or the demand from themselves, the vendors.

Bewildered on what is happening, why what is needed isn’t appearing as it should, and how is it possible that something so obvious based on where e-learning is heading, mobile is pushing and future tech is inspiring is lost among so many vendors? And therein lies one of the issues, that is showing up with many, many vendors.

I am still surprised on how vendors who are offering assessment only tools are staying in the game. Some vendors push heavily on PPT, implying that a great WBT is really a PPT converted to Flash. If it is the latter, and your system accepts SCORM 2004 only (which thus accepts 1.2 Vendor adoption is slow. It isn’t.
