Maybe I’m getting spoiled, but the past two years the keynotes made me rethink some of my ideas and gave me new insights. Last year we had the rise of TinCan and HTML5 vs Flash, this is still there but it is not new. For me the most informative session was from the AICC about CMI-5. A bit the same as last year.

There are currently three main publishing standards in the eLearning world: SCORM, AICC, and Tin Can API. (A Traditional SCORM content is Flash-based, which may cause issues on new platforms and mobile devices. In most cases, nowadays, it is highly recommended that you publish for HTML5. Doesn’t allow elaborate reporting.

Challenge the learners’ understanding – not just to find out how much they already know and, so, how much they need to learn but also to make them receptive to new ideas and ways of doing things. Adobe has had to address HTML5 issues and, no doubt, will embrace the issues posed by the up-and-coming Tin Can. It complies with SCORM 1.2,

Janhavi has spoken at various industry conferences (including AICC, ASTD, eLearning Guild) and local groups on topics pertaining to online learning. One area where these tools will continue to invest in will be HTML5 and mobile responsive output. The catch though is that not all browsers support the accessibility constructs in HTML5.

Studio has always been known for the PowerPoint to Flash approach, but it also includes audio narration, TOC (yeah!) 1st vendor IMO to truly have HTML5 output. 1st vendor IMO to truly have HTML5 output.
