To capture thoughts, I use dictation in Apple’s Notes. For instance, I’m now using Apple’s Reminders to track ‘todos’, along with its Calendar. (I’m I also allow time for my thoughts to percolate. For instance, I take walks at least a couple of times a week.

Making Sense of Research

The context was the ‘spring forward’ event Apple held where they announced their new products. The most anticipated one was the Apple Watch (which was part of the driving behind my post on wearables ), the new iConnected device for your wrist. And low and behold, a massive example was revealed last week.

MacBookPro 13″ (w/ Apple Monitor). I struggled after losing Palm Desktop, but finally have settled on Reminders (Apple’s tool), as it synchs across devices seamlessly. I can’t listen to most music while working, as the lyrics interfere with my thinking. Current mobile device. iPhone 4 & (original) iPad.

The (Initial) iPad Experience

I wasn’t frantic, and I hate to wait in lines, so I wasn’t going to queue up at the Apple store. However, I did discover that other Apple retailers would have them, particularly BestBuy, which has a nearby store. Then Apple did have the case when I called, so I swung by late in the day. I also had to accessorize.

The other interesting announcement came from their music application: GarageBand. In addition to being able to edit music tracks to create songs, you can learn how to play two versatile instruments. (For I hope it’s in your repertoire. they didn’t consult me :).

Going Mobile

I’ve got music loaded, and photos (but dual copies of the folder I want, and can’t figure how to delete one). I’d been waiting a year and half since my two year contract had expired, but wasn’t completely happy with any new mobile phone solutions. The Treo 800W is mighty appealing, except for Windows Mobile.Â
