If you use an RCAT (Rapid Content Authoring Tool), you will probably see either “Chapter”, “Header”, “Module” and then the term slides. And yet, they decided to go “slides.” It isn’t effective in the long term. You want your learners to think.

Terms such as Chapter-Page and so on, left the lexicon for the beginners, with terms such as Slide taking over. Beginners – Studio. Studio was still being used by anyone – beginners. Storyline 2 impacted the internal e-learning development space, at a stealth level, that nobody was paying attention.

From sims to scenarios to courses of all types, to collaboration, nice set of resources – this product is not for beginners. Not for beginners. One – Beginner, newbie – has to create a course quickly (sadly very common today in the industry and the ones who lose out? Last year in the Top 10 too. Ease of use.

To me, and I expect nothing but flame-o-grams here, the top two for ID folks are Lectora Online (which is not for beginners) and dominKnow Claro (which a beginner can use). Slide view (yes, they use the term). Thank you RCAT slide vendors. Storyline 360/Storyline is next up (#3). . Negative Trend. Bye Bye ID terms.

Not a fan of the slide angle for an authoring tool, but you can add-on a strong authoring tool called Gomo. Beginners can do quite a bit too. The analytics are solid. They offer a few add-ons, if you so choose. Wonderful group of people there. dominKnow – Cloud-based authoring tool. ID folks will love it. Outstanding help too.

Partner training slides in here. Vendors should either build their own, or go third-party with a cloud-based commercial system, which will allow a deep integration AND offer both beginners and folks who have a background in ID or e-learning development to use the tool to take it to its full power of interactive and engaging. .
