Yet, as I have often noted, it is rarely pushed upon in an RFP, let alone a demo. And I ask it often when talking to vendors.

Sure some folks are using VR and loving it with their training, and many of these entities have the budgets to pull it off. But the problem is more than just the headset, rather it getting buy-in from the C-level folks that this is a must for your budget, especially when you just received the green light to drop 50K on a new LMS.

The vendor says they can meet my use case, it’s a perfect fit, I move forward. Not seeing the system beforehand, leads many times to this idea of an extensive RFP submission. A lot of people continue to just send out a lot of RFPs, without looking at the system first, then make their decision on the RFP. Downside 4.

I’d rather have someone whose sales are up even 25% over the previous quarter as a result of the courses, than showing me that you are saving me 10% in your budget – which is also a positive. LMS vendors had the option to create a video demo of their product without any sales pitch whatsoever. Sales drive business.
