Education as a whole is getting a bad rap and it shouldn’t at least when it comes to online learning. The reason behind this is simple, educational learning management systems. While these systems continue to offer a wonderful set of features, they still have a long way to go.

The same can be said for Cornerstone OnDemand. Just as in the trailer for Tron, I felt trapped within the system. Cornerstone On Demand’s Learner Cloud system is a vast amount of energy, and yes in some ways a new dimension. This isn’t a bad system, but it’s not a good system. Bottom Line.

Too much confusion for folks who want to buy a system. I am constantly updating the types that exist, which would be covered under learning systems. LMS – Learning Management System – Don’t buy into the spin they were created or are still mainly used for compliance – both are not true.

A good vendor will take that information and apply it to your demo (you want one), inquire for additional questions if needed – after they have had time to review it – post-call; and most importantly as a cornerstone to your pricing. But for some vendors, that is what it all comes down to. E-Learning 24/7.

Q : I am curious on why Cornerstone On Demand, Saba and SumTotal do not appear in your top twenty lists even though they appear on other sites as the best products in the market. My latest take on those three vendors (plus one) are: Cornerstone On Demand – I have seen the new UI and I like what I saw. Lots of potential.

If you are someone who is considering some of the bigger dogs like Cornerstone or SumTotal, I would seriously look at these guys. eLogic Learning ($$-$$$) – Another solid performer who continues to get better and better. E-Learning 24/7. Personally, I think they crush the monsters of midway aka CoD et al.
