Yesterday, I had the privilege of touring a fascinating project in the 3D virtual immersive environment of Second Life. It is called The Virtual Worlds Story Project with the tag line "Weaving the Narrative Threads of Our Lives." What better place to start than in a 3D Virtual Immersive Environment.

First, it looks as though Linden Labs, the developers behind Second Life, may be downsizing their corporate efforts ( Second Life Enterprise Edition ). Two sources indicate that Linden may actually be shutting down their Enterprise operations. Some interesting developments in the 3D Learning and Collaboration Space.

He ran Michael Milken’s Knowledge Universe Interactive Studio before he became VP, Platform & Technology for Second Life at Linden Labs. Joe has the technical chops to prototype his ideas. These aren’t new ideas, but they’re concepts that have fallen by the wayside. Most preferred the virtual meetings.
