Often I have two small kids in tow or Im trying to check ten things off a list during my lunch hour. A good aggregator (like Stephen Downes) will get me the info I need so Im not missing the really juicy stuff. Im sure many of you are the same. Im off looking at the new interesting thing in a heartbeat. Im too distracted.

That said, Im a little concerned that the gamer mentality is sometimes presented as important to corporate culture and that as a result women should get into gaming. Im a bit of an über a-hole when it comes to stereotypical representations - the giggly "girl" (which is the name of this episode) just lights my match. Which is correct?

Im concerned that women will be excluded if such a focus is put on gaming skills -- or at least the gamer label. Im just raising some questions. I guess Im saying the focus should be less on "gaming" and more on use of new technology (social networking sites, gadgets, etc.) I dont have a conclusion here. 9:18 AM Cammy Bean said.

This may be why the concept of informal learning is such a hard sell. But Im learning. Forget about it. A PLE can be messy. Its personal, after all.
