SuccessFactors acquired the Plateau LMS (way before SF was acquired by SAP). SAP Litmos was originally Litmos, and Callidus Cloud acquired LMS out of New Zealand, and then a few years back, acquired by SAP. Strategic blunder of major proportions in the acquisition of SumTotal has continued to hurt them (i.e., Skillsoft).

Metrics – These will tell you the story of learning. The analytics on CBX, while solid, needs a major UI/UX revamp, and more metrics that align for today’s workforce. Analytics/Metrics still needs a bit more ooomph, but it can stand toe to toe with many others in the space. Metrics out of the box, are a mixed bag.

Or they do a wonderful job with some, and not all (ahem Degreed – that other reports and metrics?). SumTotal for example did a nice revamp, but their reporting is super outdated. Reporting and Metrics – Plays an important role here, the days of only canned reports just won’t fly anymore. Jasper has to go. .

Learn Amp – Very strong system, with lots to like, metrics vastly superior (Product Review later this week – i.e. March 18th – Think Post St.Patty’s). Employees SAP Litmos – Similar in many ways. Absorb LMS – Another similar to Docebo, metrics and administration a slight edge over Docebo.

SumTotal Learning Management – Feature rich system, very strong in compliance and regulatory, knows the space well. They need to update their admin side, UX can be cumbersome, but that said, metrics and data you need to capture is very good. System continues to get better year after year. Runner Ups. Runner Ups. ” approach.

On the administration side, continues to be well done, but some metric data needs to be improved. I’d like to see more on the administration side, and while the system is top tier, to me it is still missing some data visualization tied to extensive metric data. SumTotal Learning Management – They have come a long way.

Metrics and Reporting showing items such as how much has been generated (prefer by content type, and content name – but most haven’t gotten there yet), other types of sales data, usage that goes beyond “views”, which is worthless, unless your learning system is a search engine. No, it doesn’t. The system itself?
