by AJ George If you need to create an Infographic, there are better programs than PowerPoint that you could use. Photoshop would be a good choice, or maybe Fireworks. That being said, PowerPoint is likely on your office computer right now. In PowerPoint, choose File > Save As.

Many people don’t consider PowerPoint as a capable graphics editor since its main function is to create presentation aids. Some also assume that in order to make basic changes to an image, they need to buy expensive software with a long learning curve such as Photoshop. It’s even possible to save as a PNG with a transparent background.

I like using the PowerPoint backgrounds in my Cp projects. I don’t need the PowerPoint master slides, just the background image. Importing that PowerPoint background into my Captivate master slide applies the background to my title, content, quizzing, and all the other slides in the master slide series.

I was trying to come up with a way to add a logo and few icons into PowerPoint. You may need to add your company logo to a new image or add an icon to a PowerPoint presentation. You can make the background of an image transparent with an advanced photo editor like Photoshop , with TechSmith’s Snagit , or with a variety of other tools.

Even as I’ve learned how to use advanced graphic design programs like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, I’ve always believed that PowerPoint can be just as…well, powerful! So, that’s what I did!
