Producing e-Content with Wimba Create. collaborative face-to-face working environment, that we are deploying to enhance student communication and social skills both within the college and as part of the Comenius project, that will link us with two colleges in Holland and one in Belgium. For my own part in the day I brought along the work that I had been conducting on eLearning, much publicised on this blog, but I did take the opportunity to promote Wimba Create, which I think went down very positively. Well worth alook, though you may find it has been blocked by your College network! Bye for now and do feel free to comment

In a 3D world, the interaction with the students feels more intimate than with a 2-D distance learning application such as Centra, Horizon Wimba or Adobe Connect. We are relating as two people as opposed to disembodied names on a screen.

What should analysis look like today– as our considerations include the classroom and extend beyond it to a buffet of solutions such as mobile and social and MOOC and informal and formal learning. . It is tough to stay on top of all the great stuff being offered out there, but the blogs and social media certainly help. Many of the blogs I follow are part of the eLearningLearning community. So, I browsed "Tools" by keyword on eLearningLearning. When it comes to free cloud apps, I also share them on my blog's Free Cloud Apps page.

The same is true of Adobe Connect, Horizon Wimba and other 2D classroom software. Instructors must remember that virtual worlds are first and foremost social spaces. In the physical world (real world), not many students hang out in my classroom when class is not in session! So why do we expect it to happen in a virtual world?
