But the bottom line is, the vendor needs to butter their bread and produce what the client has asked for. Evaluation complete.

Say, if youre purchasing a course library from SkillSoft or some other vendor: If a client has their own LMS, do they purchase the courses outright and host them on their own servers? If so, is the vendor able to track usage or do they just sell the content for a flat fee based on LMS seat size? By actual usage?

Im wondering if people actually use all that data that does get tracked now for formal learning. Im mean -- do they really use all that data? Ive always been on the vendor end of things in this equation. I reply that it’s the same way we always do: check afterward to see if they’re performing up to expectation.

Have the e-Learning vendor create the first few custom programs. Granted, Im not commenting on the design nor the quality of the material.
