My brain has a hard time these days parsing dense theory. Im a convert. Yes, Im an English major who writes mostly text bullets instead of novels. So Im curious: what drove you to revisit theory? Nevertheless, their voices are deeply etched in my brain, and I could have picked any of them out of a lineup if we were going by voice and not visual. I can see how theorists might argue that reading text aloud to the learner addresses multiple "learning styles," but the real-world experience is one of frustration: you want to read ahead but you cant because the narrator reads more slowly than you do.
