I also look at where the system has been (related to features), where it is going, and it’s track record. Most vendors have an audit trail. What means nothing to me (but to a vendor, different story).

Our vendor was very helpful, taking the necessary time to have it optimally integrated with our IT system. Our IT group changed the infrastructure a year ago, to *open source* (I don’t know what they were thinking), but fortunately my vendor says that they’d be happy to help change the installation to work with the new services architecture.

It is truly amazing on how vendors seem to think lots of stuff on the page, is the way to go and navigation is just a requirement. Why vendors still think this is not needed or used, makes no sense. Add-on modules.

There’s no vendor who creates Moodle per say. Kineo has recently worked on creating a classroom management add-on for a corporate client and has a fabulous Moodle reporting tool. If you want to do testing, use something that already links to a tool that feeds your Oracle or SAP behemoth. Sure they can. Pretty plain.
