One of my favorite sites for free stock images is Unsplash.com. They provide hundreds of free stock images with a Creative Commons Zero license. That means you can do anything with the images, whether free or commercial. I also used one of the free images for this free template that I shared a while back.

In this example, the images all need to be wide, but short rectangles so that I could get them about the same height as the text and squeeze them as close as possible to the button stacks in Rise 360. Craftpix.net has a lot of free game image resources. I like this GUI and use it in one of my workshops where we learn to work with variables.

PowerPoint Tip: Use Pattern Fills for Image Placeholders. One type is the image placeholder. Since the placeholder is designed to hold an image, when you don’t insert an image on the slide, it may end up looking like a big empty spot. If you add an image, the pattern is replaced with the image.

One way I integrate colors into my slides is by adding an image to my screen and then I pick colors from the image to create my buttons, background and accent colors.
