Im not sure I buy how much real impact any of this will have on bottom line measures. Do we really believe they will be proxies for effectiveness? As an example, we might be focusing on Customer Loyalty. Out of both of these comments - Im coming to realize that we have to shift our mindset about measurement.

It is probably more accurate that such instruction is effective because the multiple illustrations induce learners to devote more time to these concepts. A great example: I will not learn as well if you give me page after page of text with zillions of details. Im definitely not saying to throw out the baby or the bathwater here.

Im not sure if the SME was reading a script, reading the notes, or just speaking from the heart. My argument is that if the information is presented as 'real' conversation it is more believable, more engaging and ultimately more effective. Look at games like Mass Effect 2 as a perfect example.
