With a rapid elearning tool, you’re using PowerPoint’s easy authoring environment to create Flash movies. Essentially, you’re creating Flash content without the requirement of learning to program Flash. Couple that with the branching features in your rapid elearning tool and you can create some pretty sophisticated multimedia.

Two things always stand out during these trips: There is no one way to do elearning. If you want to grab a quick screen capture of an app to share with a learner, or coach someone through using a new software application, you can also use Articulate’s Peek to grab your screen capture or use Replay to grab the capture and add picture in picture footage of yourself as a coach, virtually guiding your learner through the program.

But now I wanted to find out more about Accelerated Learning. My learning style is visual, so I always need to do research about a new concept and get a picture of the information in my head. Those who learned kinesthetically didn’t have to draw pictures. The students directed their own learning.

I can apply these ideas to my elearning courses because when it comes down to it, a web pages and elearning screens are going to have the same visual elements like text, objects, colors, and pictures. My initial idea for the demo was beyond my resources, so I decided to look for photo frame pictures on istockphotos. The image packs worked great because for a few dollars I was able to build a series of rich looking screens for my elearning demo. March 21-23 : Orlando, FL ( Learning Solutions Conference ). That’s not ideal.

Personally, I enjoy looking at pictures that friends post and that’s the extent of my love for Facebook. Some don’t like it in comparison to other social media outlets, many choose not to use it, but again, I’ve never heard the word “hate” in conjunction with “Facebook.” Maybe a couple of you do hate Facebook. And that’s fine.

Dan Roam talks about this in his book The Back of the Napkin: Solving Problems and Selling Ideas with Pictures. However, I want to take Roam’s ideas one step further and instead of creating the visuals as static images, make them part of a presentation on a whiteboard and include them in my rapid elearning course.
