Reading through the recent blog post by Graham Attwell on Vygotsky's theory , I find myself agreeing with a lot of what has been discussed. Graham has a problem with ZPD in that it implies the presence of a teacher or expert. The scaffolding removes the problem of needing a 'knowledgeable other'.
