Gamification: Why It’s Good

Coined in 2003, the term “gamification” did not take off in usage until about four years ago. The earliest example of using gamification is when credit card companies began using a point system to earn frequent flyer miles. For example, points can be awarded for attending training, and then cashed-in for an extra vacation day.
