Feature set includes SCORM 2004, chat, assessment tool among others. eFront Learning – UI is average, feature set is nice – The system to look at is their enterprise edition (client). Edu 2.0 – UI needs to improve as its on the border of average to below average, but this systems’ feature sets is outstanding.

How many times have you looked at a system, only to say to yourselves, wasn’t that available back in 2004 and if so, why are they touting that as something new? I see it a lot, especially with social learning and the wonderment of some vendors of adding a “discussion forum and text chat room&# as part of their solution.

Those that don’t are due to: Your tool works only with SCORM 2004 3rd edition, and your LMS only accepts AICC. Q: I use Articulate, Rapid Intake and other 3rd party authoring tools, will they work in any LMS? A: Nearly all. The LMS uses a proprietary based tool – as in you must use it – so your 3rd party won’t work.

When I was looking at a LMS/LCMS vendors in the last few years, one of my first questions, “Are you SCORM 2004 or 1.2 If your RCAT only outputs to SCORM 2004 and my LMS vendor only accepts 1.2, Same issue if your product outputs to only AICC, and my LMS vendor does not accept the AICC interoperability standard.
