I can either go with Option A) Buy an authoring tool whereaby I pay a yearly (and on-going) fee for all three, B) by an authoring tool where I buy three licenses (one for each person) OR Option C) Buy one license (wink, wink) and everyone shares the license. Over the weekend, I did one of the most stressing things there is to do in live. Yep, house hunting. There is nearly nothing out there that make you get excited and depressed in just a few hours, than look for a new house. Where do you live? What amenities do you want or need? Beach? Center of town? What can you afford?

I was just asked about trends in open source for eLearning and particularly open source eLearning tools. Probably one of the better sources on this is Jane Hart’s Instructional Tools Directory. You can find a long list of tools broken into authoring tools, games/simulations, quiz/test tools, social media, delivery platforms, tracking and whether they support mobile. One of my favorite ghost stories is the one with the guy who has a hook and the teenagers are chilling in their car (you know – wink, wink) and then a screeching sound and it is not hook guy opening a can of tuna. If you have ever seen Poltergeist you will know what why people are terrified of clowns. Creepy clowns, especially ones under your bed. They may come in doll form, but trust me, those things have large teeth and like to take over your television with a nice level of scariness.
