When you need a fix, then the LMS vendor must work with you either remote to solve it or if it is big nasty fix, go on site. SaaS and LMS vendors. Even one time open source systems are starting to offer hosting for an additional cost. From a LMS vendor perspective there are a lot of pluses.

You work online via the servers of your vendor. I had thought that this trend would be dying out, but it is amazing at the number of vendors who are entering the space and still focused on the desktop approach. Vendors who are already in the SaaS only space, should continue to offer features that maximize its power.

Lots of vendors, lots of potential. There were vendors that had nice LMSs and cool features. It just wasn’t me thinking this, I heard it from attendees and even other vendors who were trolling the floor. E-Learning has been minimal. However, this clearly had changed in 2012. Mobile Learning.
