Learning tools like EdApp can turn learning materials like videos, images, PPT slides, and PDFs into microlessons. A lot of learning software like EdApp supports mobile learning and is readily available on the Apple or Google Play Store. Sending PowerPoint slides just doesn’t work anymore.

How many people create courses in PPT and just upload it? I say content creator tool when I talk to vendors these days, ditto on my recent template. If you are creating a course, you are not creating a presentation, or playing as though you are PowerPoint or whatever crummy name Apple uses to call their presentation program.

Here is the thing, you have the money and resources to offer collaboration, templates and avatars. iSpring Pro but it only converts PPT to HTML5. Apple – 736,00 apps (as of Nov 2012), reportedly Apple has approved 1 million apps. Apple – 35 billion (Oct 2012). Surely, you can get it done. Do the Math.

Templates – growing at quick clip. PowerPoint – Ability to integrate or use PPT in your courses. Some vendors push heavily on PPT, implying that a great WBT is really a PPT converted to Flash. More vendors seem interested in PPT, then having this as a spec in their product. It isn’t.

In the next price bracket up, tools of interest might include: Adobe’s Audition , Avid’s Pro Tools , Apple’s Logic Pro. I need to record simple voice-only audio. And I have PowerPoint 2013 or better.
