Audacity is an open source audio editor. I usually record my audio directly in the rapid elearning tools. However, if I have a larger project, then I like to break my production up into chunks and keep my audio separate. I mainly use it to convert FLV to other media for easy editing since I can’t find an easy FLV editor.

Today, I am sharing my views on the 3 widely used tools -Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, and Lectora Inspire 16. Articulate Storyline 2, Adobe Captivate 9 and Lectora Inspire 16. Of the three tools, it’s very easy to apply animations in Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate. Audio Synchronizing.

I'm now convinced it's media - simple, linear audio and video. So, I took the presentation on The story of the 30-minute masters that I created last week in Articulate and decided to re-create it in a movie format that would work for both YouTube and the iPod (MP4). I couldn't do this with Articulate. This worked fine too.

by Lectora – a PowerPoint authoring tool à la Articulate. I’d put about half of them in the keeping-up-with-the-Joneses category, meaning the addition of basic features that Articulate already has. Technically, a skilled programmer could probably get Articulate to do that by adding their own HTML or JavaScript, but Snap!

AUDIO RECORDING AND EDITING. Audacity is an audio recording and editing application with a lot of the features you find in commercial products. It works on all platforms and is probably the most popular free audio program around. It doesn’t have video or audio chat, though. FLV Player. BURNING CDs and DVDs.

Articulate Storyline 2. You can create product demonstration videos using screen recordings, edit with Action Fine-Tuning, and import videos in Articulate Storyline 2.
