Do you use music in your courses? Of course not. Don’t add music – especially throughout the whole course – to try to convince learners that they’re having fun when the course itself could put an actuary to sleep. A lot of stock photo sites also have music and sound effects. Is music always a great design decision?

As Masie suggested, we're now outsourcing our memories to devices ( Evernote , anyone?); Maybe he didn't come right out and make that statement, but that was my takeaway. For instance, I have a recipe (an automated script that was super simple to create) that appends a note to my Evernote account each time I shorten a link in Bit.ly , reminding me later what I’ve posted and how it was shortened. I use this search to find terrific photos to compliment my blog posts and presentations.
