Majority of employees access a LMS or Learning Portal out of the workplace. Now, why doesn’t a vendor mention this information to a potential client, at least the first point – I can understand holding off on the second point, for selling purposes. LMS vendors who are moving into the Talent Management Space.

So, for a one time fee of 1K, you can build your own courses using their content authoring tool that exists in their system. A calling to a large number of vendors (small, medium and big), are all reporting strong numbers in January, with many saying that January 2011, was their best month – numbers and business wise, in the last few years. Greater number of vendors switching to only SAAS or “in the cloud&# rather than self-hosted.

The twist to all this, is that for the Big Dog vendors or those whose main target is large size clients, this isn’t an issue – okay, not the Q/A, in fact, it is a big problem for many of them – rather it is inability to handle the client base. with others, but you can purchase the content too, and I said content.

It’s a business marketplace for buyers and sellers. OpenSesame is not a LMS.
