Acquistions – Someone had an idea

Someone came up with the idea of a LMS. Someone came up with the term LMS – albeit Jay Cross (RIP) is said to be that person; however, this is debatable. Then Cornerstone came along and bought SumTotal for peanuts, which was a good idea, and here we are with SumTotal. I never tested it, but they noted it.

Can you recommend an LMS?

Vendors saying “have you looked at XYZ” (which is their system). Just asking to recommend an LMS without the audience knowing exactly what you want is like following the mantra of saying can you recommend me a movie to go see, without telling people you hate dramas, comedies and documentaries. Recommendations.
