Then Cornerstone came along and bought SumTotal for peanuts, which was a good idea, and here we are with SumTotal. Learn.com wasn’t a bad system.

The problem with asking random folks to recommend an LMS is that they have no idea on what specific functionality you need, nor your budget, nor your challenges or issues you are facing, nor your requirements, nor your training approach or L&D approach, nor your experience with e-learning. You need to have micro-credentialing tied to a university, organization, something with “juice” If I see that same badge from URI I will be impressed, much more so than one from yourvendorname system. Be Wary of Authoring Tool Comparisons

A year or two later, the company I worked for purchased a new LMS. That LMS was from SumTotal, and they also wanted to sell their authoring solution as well. Based on that, you might think that I would be qualified to at least offer my opinion with a comparison between Toolbook and Captivate, but I feel differently.
