You can use either your own 3rd party content authoring tool and upload it into the “Cloud&# and then wherever you are, output either to your LMS, or onto Moodle or even WordPress (they have a plug in for that) OR place the course in Facebook or nearly any solution that accepts APIs. A LMS whose UI is poor, ease of use not there and questionable feature sets and service. So, when I went and checked out Saba Social, Saba’s new social learning platform, I had very low expectations. Extensive API and Mashup directors for you to pick and choose from. I was surprised. They finally figured it out.

A trend that is happening in the LMS market more so than in the other e-learning markets, is the failure to follow their path of success. In 2009 and 2010, many vendors in the LMS market, tossed in items that at one time were extra fees. The spin of course, is that open source systems enable APIs.
